Our Story
How G-SCRUB was born — with mud, laughs, and family.
Hey, I’m Dylan. This is the real story of how my family ended up making G-SCRUB: a cleaner made for golfers like you, and like me (I’m still working on my handicap).
It started because my dad, my brother Stephen and I love golf. And not just playing it: we like to look good doing it. Clean caps, crisp shirts, shiny white shoes. That was the plan. Golf had other plans.
Our golf balls seemed to have GPS. Not for the green: for the mud, the tall grass, the ditches and our beloved sand traps. After every round, our shoes and clubs looked like they had survived a swamp.
We went looking for something made for golf shoes. Quick, practical, easy to carry in the bag. We kept finding general cleaners that were never built with a golf round in mind.
One afternoon, scrubbing shoes with an old brush and dish soap (true story), I joked: “What if we just made our own?” My dad, who has spent decades in manufacturing, didn’t laugh. He grabbed a notebook. Stephen grabbed more muddy shoes.
Ideas, prototypes, a lot of trial and error, and plenty of muddy rounds later, G-SCRUB was born: made by golfers, for golfers. The Shoe Cleaner Kit was our very first product, and we’ve kept growing from there: club foam, grip spray, shoe fresheners and more on the way. Made in USA with domestic and imported components.
That’s what we love about this game, and it’s even better when it’s a family thing. Thanks for being part of our story. This is just the beginning.— Dylan
